Rik Parkhill
Managing Director and Global Head, Cash Equities, CIBC World Markets Inc.
Rik Parkhill joined CIBC in 2008 as Managing Director, Head of Cash Equities with CIBC World Markets Inc. He has more than 20 years of experience managing brokerage firms and exchanges in the Canadian equities markets.
In his role at CIBC Mr. Parkhill is responsible for sales, trading, alternative execution services and research for all aspects of CIBC's cash equities business. He also shares responsibility for the Equity Capital Markets activities with Geoff Belsher.
Prior to joining CIBC, Mr. Parkhill was Interim Co-Chief Executive Officer with the TSX Group. In his role, he was responsible for determining the strategic business direction with the Board and enhancing competitive positioning and maximizing shareholder returns. He also played a key role in expanding products and services domestically and internationally and strengthening operational effectiveness. Mr. Parkhill is a member of the Wholesale Banking Management Committee.
