Roman S. Dubczak

Roman Dubczak is Managing Director and Head of Cash Equities, Wholesale Banking with CIBC World Markets Inc. In this role, he is responsible for sales, trading, prime brokerage, alternative execution services and research for CIBC's cash equities business globally. He also shares responsibility for the Equity Capital Markets activities and is a member of the Wholesale Bank Management Committee as well as the firm's Corporate Credit Deals Committee. Mr. Dubczak joined CIBC World Markets in 1992 and has worked in a variety of roles in both the Equities and Fixed Income businesses. Previously, he held the position of Vice Chairman and Head of Equity Capital Markets at CIBC. In this role, he was responsible for the firm's equity origination and underwriting activities.
Prior to joining CIBC, Mr. Dubczak worked in a variety of roles including corporate development, portfolio management and financial management, as well as general audit. Roman holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto and a Master of Business Administration from York University, as well as Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst designations.
Mr. Dubczak is currently Chair of the Investment Industry Association of Canada and is a founding Director of the Canadian Association of Income Funds. He is a Director of Dignitas International, the CIBC Children’s Foundation and has been a Director and volunteer of several non-profit and charitable organizations.
